Installing GPS Trackers

During the CRM setup Rakata will discuss with you how best to install th GPS trackers.  There are number of ways this can be achieved.  Rakata will provide the GPS Trackers unless the customer has a GPS tracker that is compatible with the Rakata Vehicle Tracking system.  The options are:

• Rakata Install GPS Trackers into Vehicles
• Rakata setup GPS Trackers and the customer installs the GPS Trackers
• Rakata setup GPS Trackers and the customer employs a 3rd party to install the GPS Trackers

Please Note:  Rakata Technology do NOT install the tracker to meet any security or insurance standard.  Rakata do hide the GPS tracker however its operation is primarily based on assisting CRM functionality and vehicle tracking.  You are entitled to use 3rd parties who can provide this standard.

Rakata GPS is compatible with a number of GPS Trackers however our preferred tracker is the Compact Real-Time GPS Tracker – FMB920.

Viewing & Tracking Vehicles

To view your vehicles ensure the eye option is selected against the vehicle you want to view.  If you want to track the vehicle click on the follow icon.

Top Tip:  If you are tracking more than one vehicle the system will automatically resize to show both vehicles.  If the vehicles are far away the view will zoom further and further out to accomodate both vehicles.  If you cannot zoom into the vehicle you are tracking check you are NOT tracking more than 1 vehicle which is forcing the system to accomodate more than 1 vehicle.

Playing Vehicle History

If you want to view the history of the vehicle movements this is possible by clicking on the History tab.

Select your options.  Once all are selected click SHOW

Top tip:  Rakata record vehicle data for 60 days from which you can retrieve data and review.

Replay the vehicle movements

Click the play button to replay the vehicle movements with the time parameters selected.
